Alex and his team installed luxury vinyl tile in our kitchen, bathroom, entry way, pantry closet and back stairs/landing. We also required repair to our hardwood floors, so they could be refinished in the dining room, living room, stairway, upper hall and four bedrooms.
It went we well. Alex had a lot of good suggestions (what we ended up doing isn't what we originally planned to do because of his suggestion - greatly appreciated!). It did take a while for the entire process to get done but we also did a lot of work and it took us a while to make some decisions. We had a few minor issues which were quickly resolved perfectly.

We hired Alka Flooring to tear out our existing living room carpet and replace it with hardwood flooring that was to match the existing maple hardwood floors throughout the rest of the home! Alex exceeded our expectations! The floors look like they were all newly installed- you can't tell where the old and the new floors meet! The old floors were sanded and refinished so that they all look Brand New!! We are very happy customers

Alex replaced carpet with hardwood on two floors of our house about 2 years ago. We were very pleased with the result. The project covered about 1500+ sq. feet, including a double-span staircase that was especially tricky. As an added complexity, in many places the floors had to be matched and married to an existing installation. Everything, from original consultation to final finishing was handled with utmost professionalism. The workmanship was the best I ever witnessed. Alex was very responsive to all our requests, and with his incredible attention to detail exceeded our expectations by a long shot. I had many compliments on how everything turned out, including from professional contractors. And the level of post-installation service was no less impressive: Alex made several free calls as late as a year after the fact to fix occasional squeak and even some minor damage that was completely our fault. We would not hesitate to recommend Alka Flooring to anyone.

From start to finish, Alex and his team were great to work with! My remodel project consisted of replacing carpet with wood flooring tieing in the existing wood floor to make it look seamless. Alex was very consultative while going through the design process providing options across the price spectrum and opinions based on his many years in the business. He made it easy! The installation process couldn't have been better. He and his team were timely, provided constant communication on the progress of the project and were meticulous. They are truly masters of their craft and take pride in what they do!

Alex was recommended to me by the flooring store where I purchased my hardwood flooring. Several of the staff at the flooring store highly recommended him and said they would choose Alex to work on their own personal projects. My large project involved removing existing carpeting on an upper level and installing prefinished flooring in three adjoining rooms. Alex and his team were so professional and were truly master craftsmen. This was even more evident when the crew moved to my main floor and installed herringbone hardwood floors in my large living room.
